Logitech Z333

The oldest version of their Z model computer speaker has gained traction over the years and has quickly become fan-favorite speakers.

In terms of design, they look ordinary, just like any other computer speakers. The matte black finish looks perfect. They are a decent size too and will not take too much of your desk space.

Both speakers come in the same dimensions of 7.56 x 4.25 x 3.54 inches, and the subwoofer is a bit bigger 9.06 x 9.13 x 6.18 inches.

With these speakers, you get all the basics, such as the external control unit, which can be very useful, two speakers, and a subwoofer. The power supply is Electric (not USB), so you cannot power them from your computer.

Additionally, the sound quality is excellent. With its 40W total power 8″ for each speaker and a large woofer driver unit of 4.25 inches, they are capable of producing punchy sound.

Logitech Z337

Logitech Z337

On the other hand, we got the Z337, which is also a 2.1 speaker with Bluetooth.

It has the same simple design as most Logitech computer speakers. Both satellites and the subwoofer have the same boxy design made from very durable plastic with a matte finish.

Each satellite comes with dimensions of 7.6 x 4.3 x 3.5 inches and weighs only 1.4 pounds. The subwoofer is 9.1 x 9.1 x 6.2 inches and weighs 5.25 pounds.

Logitech replaced the conventional controls on the satellites with a wired remote attached to the back of the subwoofer. The controller is handy as you can turn the speakers off/on, start Bluetooth pairing, or control the volume.

The Z337 also comes with a total power of 40W – 8W per satellite, plus a fantastic 24W subwoofer. The result is great as they can produce decent sound followed by a beefy bass.

Another great thing about the Z337 is the Bluetooth connection, which allows fast pairing with any device. So you can forget about cables and connect them via Bluetooth to your computer.

These speakers are great, whether you are listening to music, watching movies, or playing video games.

  • Solid sound
  • Very loudspeakers
  • Strong bass
  • Can stream music via Bluetooth
  • Easy setup

  • Mids are a bit muddy due to hard bass.

Logitech Z533

Logitech Z533

Logitech impressed us again with the Z533 speakers. Just like most computer speakers, they are a set of 2.1 that sound impressive.

Even though they are just computer speakers, they provide great flexibility for connecting your smartphone via the control unit as a third input.

Each satellite has 15W of power and has 66mm drivers, while the subwoofer is 133mm rated at 30W. This means that they can produce an impressive sound in terms of volume and quality.

They also have a wide frequency response of 55Hz – 20 kHz.

The design is more visually appealing than most computer speakers with a shiny piano black finish. The rest of the body is finished in matte black, and they are a bit tilted back so that they can spread the sound better across the room.

The speakers on the satellites look amazing with their gold/bronze inner ring around the cone. On the bottom side of the speakers, you can find the Logitech logo in the same gold finish as the speakers.

Each satellite comes with dimensions of 6.69 x 3.93 x 3.34 inches and weighs only 1.16lbs. The subwoofer is 10.43 x 10.03 x 7.67 inches and weighs 8.82 lbs.

  • Good value for money
  • Cool design

  • Mirror finish shows up fingerprints and dust

To find the winner in this comparison test, we have to dig a bit deeper into their specifications and find out which computer speakers perform best.

The visual appearance of your computer speakers is also important. Unfortunately, the Z337 and the Z333 don’t offer something special in terms of design.

They are just regular matte-black boxes with very few minor details. On the other hand, the Z533 computer speakers have the best design. With the bronze/gold color contrast, you’ll get a sense as they are premium computer speakersIn terms of size, the Z333 speakers have the biggest satellites, as they also have a subwoofer-like hole on the top. Since the Z533 speakers have the biggest subwoofer, they are also the heaviest computer speakers.

Sound Quality

Sound Quality

When we talk about sound quality, it is essential to mention that they all sound great. Of course, you cannot compare computer speakers to high-end sound systems, but they will do a much better job than just regular monitor speakers.

In terms of power, the Logitech Z533 is the winner. It has 120 watts of power, instead of 80 watts on the Z333 and Z337, which is why it is louder.

All three speakers have a separate bass control, so you can adjust the woofer to your sound requirements. All three have the same frequency range of 55Hz to 20kHz.

One of the minor issues on the Z337 is the sound balance. There is plenty of bass, which pushes back the highs and mids. That’s also the situation with the Z333.

However, the Logitech Z533 has a much more crisp sound, and there is plenty of bass without any distortion. The only drawback with the Z533 is the high pitched buzzing sound when the speakers are on standby, but that sound is gone if you lower the volume.

There is little to separate all three speakers in terms of sound quality. Given the higher amount of power, obviously the Z533 is the winner.

Winner: Z533

In terms of features, all three look very similar. They all have 3.5 millimeter RCA outports, and they are compatible with Mac or Windows operating systems. They are also compatible with Playstation or Xbox.

Additionally, all three models come with external controls, which are very easy to operate. Apart from that, they also have a headphone output, which actually is not that useful since you can plug your headphones directly into your device.

You can adjust the bass level on the Z333 on the subwoofer, and the Z337 and Z533 come with adjustable bass from the wired remote control.

Unfortunately, there is no microphone output or a docking station for tablet or mobile.

What Is The Difference Between Z333 vs Z337 vs Z533?

Well, the biggest difference when we compare Logitech Z333 vs Z337 is the Bluetooth support. They are basically identical speakers with different designs and added Bluetooth on the Z337.

However, is Bluetooth really important for computer speakers?

For starters, desktop speakers must be powered from a wall outlet, so they are not portable. The Bluetooth feature doesn’t actually mean that you can carry them around wherever you go. However, this feature is a nice way to connect other devices if you don’t have a computer nearby.

Therefore, Bluetooth is not essential for desktop speakers, and it wouldn’t make a difference if you don’t move them to another place, but it is still a nice feature to have.

Amount of Bass

Amount of Bass

As we mentioned, they all sound almost identical in terms of sound quality, with a slight edge from the Z533.

However, when it comes to bass, there is a significant difference. Each channel on the Logitech Z533 has 15 W RMS, compared to the power per channel on Z333 and 337, which is only 8W.

This improves the lower tones making them sound very vibrant. As a bonus, the subwoofer on the Z533 is the biggest one with a capacity of 30W compared to the 24W on the Z333 and Z337.

With more power and a bigger size, there is a harder bass. When you see the Logitech Z533, you are simply not prepared for the amount of bass coming from these desktop speakers.

Logitech decided to go with a different approach with the Z337 and Z533. As you can see from the design analysis, they have different satellite and subwoofer sizes.

The Logitech Z333 has the largest satellites, which is why it might have the nicest highs and mids. With the Z337 and Z533, they focused on improving the subwoofer and lowering the satellites’ size.

This means that the Z337 and Z533 have deeper sound and are more focused on the lows, whereas the Z333 focuses on highs and mids, but still has a beefy punch from the bass.

The only significant difference when we compare Logitech Z337 vs Z333 is the built-in Bluetooth feature. If we compare the differences between Logitech Z337 vs Z533, the only thing we can notice is the futuristic design and slightly higher power and bluetooth connectivity.
